According to the British “The Guardian”, in one minute we buy approximately 1 million of them. What makes it even worse, is that until 2021 this value will have increased by 20% what means that in 2020 their sales will amount billion and a half per year.

In 2016, more than 480 billion plastic bottles were sold worldwide. 10 years before it was 300 billion.

While the majority of water or drink bottles are produced of reusable polyethylene terephthalate (PET), they are still mostly thrown into oceans and disposed on wastelands. According to “The Guardian” in 2016 only less then a half of them was recycled.

300 billion of aluminium cans are sold worldwide per year. 80 billion in Europe, 100 billion in the USA, 6 billion in Poland.

In 2016, in the European Union, in more than 20 paper mills, a total amount of 47% drink boxes was recycled. This percentage is equal to approximately 430 000 tons of cardboard.
